In one of my previous posts, I’ve discussed how Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them will take us back to the Harry Potter universe, but this time we’re going on a brand new journey with characters we rarely know about. It was confirmed that there will be 2 more movies after Fantastic Beasts, which makes a trilogy. Yesterday, however, things changed. There was a live stream that occurred where the cast of the movie were asked questions. Towards the end of the Q&A, the creator of the Harry Potter series, JK Rowling, came on the stage and talked about the development of the film’s plot.

Then she made the big announcement… Fantastic Beasts will not have 2 more movies, but it will have 4 more movies! It’s not a trilogy anymore but more of a saga. With this announcement, it makes me wonder how the narrative will go. Will it go over the course of months, or go over many years? If the narrative does go over for many years, then we can probably encounter characters from the Harry Potter films in their youth. Rowling already has the framework setup, so we’ll probably won’t know until the next movie comes out. While we wait for the first film to come out, here’s the recording of the full live stream.
